Our mission is to unite businesswomen through professionalism, practiced networking, and sisterhood in a way that benefits both members and their future employers.
AWIB hosts monthly meetings to foster professional development through a network of women. Each semester we partake in numerous socials and fundraisers, as well as special interest group events.
We also encourage our members to join one of our five committees, which meet monthly to build a great sisterhood. Our different committees include Finance, External Affairs, Human Resources, Events and Marketing. Within these committees, a member will receive not only more responsibility, but also opportunities for more socializing and fun!
Our vision this year is to increase involvement through a friendly and social environment to build professional relationships.
We believe professionalism is a necessary trait in the business world, and we strive to cultivate this skill in our members through various professional events.
We believe in providing our members with opportunities to grow their network. Events like our annual Networking Dinner allow our members to receive first hand advice from professionals and gain a glimpse into the business world. Networking is a valuable skill that often leads to internship and job opportunities for our members.
We believe sisterhood is what makes our time at Texas A&M so special. We promote the cultivation of strong friendships through various social events throughout the year. Our hope is that our members will create friendships that last a lifetime.
